Pre-Treatment Care
Neuromodulators
For the best results before your appointment consider the following:
- Avoid taking certain medications that may affect bleeding (ex: Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Aspirin, St. John’s Wort, Ginseng, Vitamin E, Evening Primrose Oil). These medications should be stopped three days prior to your appointment. If appropriate please consult your healthcare provider before discontinuing important blood thinners.
- Discontinue alcohol consumption three days prior to your appointment.
- Please try to schedule your injectable appointments at least 2-3 weeks before any significant events as it takes a full two weeks for results to appear. This also allows ample time for any bruising and swelling to settle.
- You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- For hyperhidrosis treatment, discontinue antiperspirant use 24 hours before treatment.
Dermal Fillers
For the best results before your appointment consider the following:
- Avoid taking certain medications that may affect bleeding (ex: Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Aspirin, St. John’s Wort, Ginseng, Vitamin E, Evening Primrose Oil). - Accutane use in the last six months is contraindicated with this treatment.
- To reduce skin irritation avoid active skincare ingredients for 5-7 days prior to your microneedling appointment (examples: retinols, AHA/BHA, exfoliants, etc.).
- Waxing and shaving should be avoided 48-72 hours prior to your appointment.
- Please try to schedule your appointments at least 2-3 weeks before any significant events to allow for appropriate healing.
- You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Chemical peels are not recommended if you have any open lesions or rashes on the area to be treated.
Microneedling
For the best results before your appointment consider the following:
- Accutane use in the last six months is contraindicated with this treatment.
